We are working hard to bring the latest AI tools and advantages to our customers. As a small, agile company, we can deliver new features far faster than larger competitors. Here are some of the ways we’re leveraging modern AI to make everyday work easier:

 

Procurement Intelligence

A long-term AI project that steadily categorises years of historic data while the system is asleep. Every night, Softrader analyses free-text descriptions and classifies them into a reliable set of categories, building a continuously improving map of each supplier’s strengths.

This means:

  • Instant supplier selection for new enquiries
  • Quicker quoting
  • Better buying decisions
  • Automatic identification of specialist suppliers
  • This is a self-learning system — the longer it runs, the smarter it gets.

 

Support Assistant

On every screen in ST Cloud, you’ll find the Support Assistant. It can answer questions about using the system and instantly create support requests when needed. It also has built-in “tools,” such as linking you directly to relevant screens or generating reports.

 

Enquiry Document Reader

Simply drag and drop an enquiry into a window and the system takes care of the rest. Whether it’s a PDF, spreadsheet, or even a handwritten document, Softrader Cloud will read it, extract line items, identify the customer, and correctly capture header data. Combined with our new Procurement Intelligence engine, the system can instantly identify the best supplier for each item — even checking current stock levels. This means your team can be the first to quote, while saving hours of manual data entry.

 

Purchase Invoice Reader

Your accounts team will no longer spend hours matching supplier invoices to jobs. The PI Reader automatically matches line items, flags any discrepancies, and processes matching invoices with a single click.

 

Natural Language Reporting

From the Support Assistant, you can now generate reports — including filters, limits, and groupings — simply by describing what you want in plain language.

Here are some of the features currently in development:

  • AI Agents.  These can run tasks in the background such as collating sales stats, checking jobs, chasing enquiries
  • Additional tools for the Support Assistant.  Such as the ability to give you answers to questions that require data awareness: “What’s our total spend with supplier X this month?”
  • MCP integration, allowing your systems and AI tools to talk directly to Softrader — securely, automatically, and without any manual work.
