Software Developer

Based near Norwich, we are looking for an additional developer to get involved with building our main software application.

The right candidate will be willing to get involved with all aspects of design, front end, back end and infrastructure development.  There is a great deal of creative freedom, and also a need to be able to manage your own work effectively.

We have very long relationships with many of our customers, and we all do support and custom work, so we need someone willing to get involved with that end of things as well as the development work itself.

A good sense of design is very important, coupled with the ability to solve complex problems within the application, and the willingness to engage with customers.

At Softrader we increasingly work remotely, but try to meet up in the office fairly regularly.

• Full Stack Developer, also able and willing to get involved with support and wider design and strategy.
• PHP, Javascript, CSS, REST applications, MySQL.
• Experience writing and maintaining good documentation.
• Works well as a team, and able to self manage.
• Good sense of user interface design.
• In the office at least 2 days a week (flexible).
• Willing to build good relationships with customers and meet targets.
• Able to show us a portfolio of work that demonstrates skills.
• Experience with AWS services (preferred, but not essential).
• Experience with Linux servers.
• Starting date: February/March 2021
